In The Herd Jason Terry confirms rift between Dwight Howard and GM

But I said ‘Dwight, listen, at some point in your career, you’re gonna have to decide, do you want to become a champion?’ If becoming a champion means set more screens, roll harder to the basket, run the floor more, then that’s what you’re gonna have to do.”Terry said the power struggle between Morey and Howard was rooted in a difference in offensive philosophy.“Daryl Morey didn’t say ‘We’re not gonna give you [Howard] the ball.’ We’re just not gonna give it to you in the post, because that’s not our style of play.”Terry also weighed in on the NBA Playoffs. He picked the red hot Cavs to win the title.  He said LeBron James is still the best player in the league.“If I had to start a team today, I would definitely be starting it with LeBron James.” Advertisementlast_img
